Access to and around Kaikoura

The East Coast of New Zealand on State Highway 1. Midway between Picton in the north and Christchurch in the south.

2.5 hours drive from Christchurch.  1.5 hours from Blenheim.  2 hours from Picton Ferry Terminal.

There is no regular air service to Kaikoura, however Kaikoura has a very well maintained airstrip located 7km south of Kaikoura township.

Numerous daily Shuttle & Bus Services are available from both north and south of Kaikoura throughout the day.

The Ferries cross Cook Strait regularly connecting with Coaches, Shuttles and the Coastal Pacific at Picton Ferry Terminal.
